Working directly with our perfumer, you’ll explore ingredients, develop an initial formula using our formulation system and blend your first sample. We’ll guide you through how different materials interact, how a fragrance is structured and the considerations that shape a commercially viable formulation.

From Fragrance Idea to a Practical Launch Plan.

Thinking about launching your own fragrance brand but unsure where to begin? Spend a day in our London perfume atelier exploring the creative, technical and commercial decisions involved in bringing a fragrance to market.

We’ll work through brand positioning, fragrance direction, formulation, regulatory requirements, packaging options, production and indicative launch costs. You’ll also work alongside our perfumer to create an initial fragrance sample inspired by your brief.

Not in London?

Either session can run remotely over video, at the same price. Our perfumer blends at the bench while you watch and guide it, and we post your sample to you afterwards.

How booking works

  1. 1. Choose your session, in the atelier or remote, give us a few dates that suit you and pay securely online.
  2. 2. We confirm one of your dates within 2 business days. If none of them work and we can’t agree another, we refund you in full.
  3. 3. After the session there’s no obligation. If you’d like to take things further, we’ll scope the next step from where you are.

Every great fragrance starts with an idea. Whether you have a detailed brief or simply a feeling you want to capture, we'll help translate your vision into a distinctive scent.

Our development process combines creative exploration, ingredient expertise and systematic formulation. Together, we'll explore fragrance directions, evaluate samples and refine your chosen composition through an agreed series of iterations. The result is a bespoke fragrance developed around your brand's identity, audience and commercial ambitions.

Fragrance Development

From brief to approved formula: we agree an olfactive direction with you, send samples for you to evaluate and refine your chosen composition through an agreed series of iterations.

Development is quoted as a flat fee for the agreed scope.

Technical & Regulatory Support

Creating a beautiful fragrance is only part of bringing a product to market. We help you navigate the technical requirements, from ingredient restrictions and allergen declarations to safety assessments and product documentation, and consider them throughout development so potential issues surface before production.

Depending on your project, we can prepare or coordinate:

  • IFRA certificates, allergen declarations and Safety Data Sheets for your fragrance
  • The safety assessment of the finished product — a separate step from IFRA screening of the fragrance itself
  • A Product Information File and notification under a Responsible Person: SCPN for the UK, CPNP for the EU

Documentation is a separate package, with UK and UK + EU options; the Product Information File and Responsible Person notification are an add-on.

Flexible Production for Growing Brands

You don’t need to begin with a large production run. We support independent brands with flexible small-batch compounding and production, helping you develop, test and grow your fragrance offering at a pace that makes commercial sense.

Production quantities, packaging and pricing are agreed according to the requirements of each project. As with any production, the cost per bottle comes down as volumes go up.

Packaging & Launch Support

We advise on packaging options and labelling requirements, and support you through filling, scaling up and getting ready for launch. Some clients want us across the entire process; others come to us for a single stage.

Before committing to large production runs, understand how potential customers respond to your fragrance concept. Our consumer insight services help you explore reactions to brand positioning, fragrance direction, pricing and product experience.

Concept Testing

Explore how consumers respond to your brand story, positioning, intended audience and fragrance concept — no samples needed.

Typically 3–4 weeks.

Fragrance Sample Testing

Gather structured feedback on fragrance samples, including scent preferences, perceived quality, purchase interest and opportunities for refinement.

Up to three test samples, built for evaluation rather than shelf. Typically 6 weeks to 3 months.

Scent Evenings at the Atelier

Invite fragrance enthusiasts from our own community to experience your creations in our London perfume atelier, observe their reactions and gather feedback through a guided session.

You’re welcome to be in the room.

You receive a written go, refine or pivot recommendation, and we get as involved as you need. If you go on to develop your fragrance with us, the cost of the test is credited towards development.
